About
We take the problem, write the formulation, build the product, and hand you a process you can run. We have done this hundreds of times since 2008.
TecSolut is a product innovation company. Clients come to us for new-product and process work in polymers, composites, coatings, chemicals, and fibers. Often they call when the internal team has run out of time, budget, expertise, or one particular skill.
We are open-minded like a university lab. Fast like a startup. We take programs out of the lab and toward something a company can sell. TRL 4 to 7 is the stretch people call the Valley of Death. That is where we spend most of our time.
Chemistry and engineering sit under one roof. Project management is lean. When a problem needs an instrument we do not own, we have service agreements with Israel’s leading research universities.

Valley of Death · TRL 4–7
The Valley of Death is the stretch from a laboratory result to a prototype that can run in a real setting. The science is no longer only an idea, and it is not yet a product a company can sell. Funding thins out, the equipment gets larger, and most programs stop. TRL 4 to 7 is where we spend our time.
Between academy and plant
Dr. Palchik immigrated from Ukraine in 1990 as a teenager. He earned his BSc and doctorate at Bar-Ilan University in Israel, then completed a post-doc at the University of Michigan and at Michigan State University. His research for General Motors and the U.S. Department of Defense was on thermoelectric materials, turning heat into electricity. He published around forty scientific papers. He then became chief technologist at an international plastics-additives company, where the work was procurement, technical service, and how industry actually thinks. He established TecSolut in 2008.
“You could say we sit in the middle, between academy and industry,” he told TheMarker in 2023. “Often we are a kind of mediator.”

Why teams hire us
Chemists and engineers in the same building. The brief does not get handed to a second vendor.
The labs, the pilot kit, and the analytical bench are ours.
If we do not own the instrument, we use Weizmann, Ben-Gurion, Hebrew University, or Tel Aviv University.
You know who is running the program. You see the data.
We take the ugly middle: TRL 4 to 7, where a lot of programs stall.
Unfamiliar chemistry is the job. We get useful quickly, or we say we cannot.
When the bench in Yavne is not enough, we pull in specialists and suppliers in Israel and abroad.
The IIA has funded this work for years, because programs finished and the numbers held.
Who we work with
About 70% of the work. Large and mid-size producers, a lot of them category leaders, with patents written together with TecSolut. End customers rarely see our name. The industry does.
Programs with authorized vendors. Fast enough, and cheap enough, that the vendor can still deliver on the date and the budget.
Formal partnership agreements with leading Israeli research institutions, including access to oversized and specialized equipment.
Founders who need a proof of concept or a prototype, not a permanent headcount. The first TecSolut clients were start-ups.
Public R&D money
A significant share of TecSolut’s independent and commissioned R&D is paid for with IIA grants. Years of submissions that actually finished have made the team a known quantity there, and with customers, and with R&D funds outside Israel.
A short brief is enough. We will tell you quickly whether it belongs in our laboratories, and how we would take it to pilot.
